For three years, Glendon School has dominated the provincial track scene and this year they did it again winning the 1A Provincial Banner in Calgary on June 8.  Athletic Director Daryn Galatiuk has put together a talented track team and 12 athletes advanced through SPAA and Zones to make it to provincials.  (That’s 13 kids from an entire high school population of around 70).  Hard work and dedication from athletes and coaches and the desire to compete at a high level has propelled this team to great accomplishments.

Notable finishes and medals at Provincials include

Paige Skrypichayko – gold in intermediate girls javelin and silver in shot put with a personal best throw of 10:66 m

Jayden Foley – Silver in Intermediate Boys Javelin

Colten Zentner – 4th place in hurdles in Intermediate Boys

Austin Paton – 5th in shot put in Intermediate Boys

Fred Attfield – 5th place in triple jump in Senior Boys

Paige Lundgren, Rae Ann Noel captured silver in 4 X 100 in Senior Girls (part of a Zone team)
